Milton Garden Club to exhibit at Holly Festival Dec. 9
The Milton Garden Club will exhibit in the annual Holly Festival event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Milton Fire Hall on Front Street. The club will be selling mixed greens wreaths, bundles of greens, mailbox covers, small table arrangements, table centerpieces, grave blankets, large pine cones, and bunches of willow, magnolia, pine and holly.
"Usually we feature our signature Williamsburg-style magnolia leaf and boxwood wreaths, and we hope to have some at this event," said Kathryn Greig of the Milton Garden Club. "We had so many pre-orders that it looked like we wouldn't have any for the festival, but we may have two or three. We encourage anyone who wants one to always pre-order. If anyone wants to be on our pre-order list for the future, please see me at the show. I'll be there all day."
Besides holiday decorations, the Milton Garden Club will also be selling tickets for the Dessert-of-the-Month raffle. The winner receives a homemade dessert every month of the year. The December dessert is 12 dozen homemade cookies (one dozen of 12 different kinds). Tickets are $1 each or six for $5, and the winner will be drawn at 3 p.m. at the close of the Holly Festival.
