Milton Garden Club seeks door-decorating contest entries by April 30
The Milton Garden Club is kicking off its 20th anniversary celebration by announcing the Decoration of Doors contest. This contest is open to all residents and businesses within Milton town limits. There will be separate categories and prizes for residential and business doors.
First-place prize is $100; second place wins $50 and third place wins $25. Raymond Chorman of Hillside Florist will be the judge. Garden club members want people to join their anniversary celebration by being creative, festive and fun.
"Even if you are not a contest person, consider decorating your door and helping the Milton Garden Club showcase the lovely town of Milton," said Diane Lockwood, Milton Garden Club Spring Door Decorating Committee member.
Applications are $5 and due by Monday, April 30. Judging will take place Saturday, May 5, and results will be announced Saturday, May 19. Winners will get a sign placed in front of their building. The contest is for the exterior of the doors and/or the front entryway only.
