Milton man catches rockfish on Broadkill Beach

Gerald T. Shea of Milton caught this rockfish on Broadkill Beach about noon May 12. He is shown with his 7-year-old stepson Cyruhl Parker. He used a bluefish rig using cut mullet from Dan’s Tackle Box on Route 1. At first he thought it was a ray, but after a 15-minute battle he realized it was a rockfish. Due to it being spawning season, he had to release it back into the water. It was his first catch of the year.
