Milton Thanksgiving service set Nov. 23

November 20, 2016

The churches of Milton will join in a Thanksgiving worship service at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 23, at The Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist. Area clergy will be participating, with preaching by the Rev. Dusty Pruitt of Safe Harbor United Church of Christ. Special music will be an important feature of the service. Afterward all are invited to enjoy light refreshments.

Tom White, rector of St. John the Baptist, says, “Thanksgiving Day is one of my favorite holidays - but I only wish that thanks for the cornucopia of gifts God pours into our lives were more central to our celebration, rather than football and the turkey. So I’m excited that the Milton community can come together on Thanksgiving Eve to praise and thank God, from whom all blessings flow. In the words of the hymn, ‘Come ye thankful people, come!’”

St. John the Baptist is at 307 Federal St. in Milton. Parking is available in the church parking lot or on the street.
