One person received minor injuries during a crash between a DART bus and a pick-up truck on Route 9, just west of Route 1, the morning of July 14.

The crash occurred shortly before 9 a.m. as 49-year-old Carlyn McCray-Hudson of Frankford was driving a 2009 Gillig DART bus on Belltown Road, preparing to turn left on Route 9. She failed to yield to the right-of-way of a 2000 Dodge Ram pick-up truck, said Master Cpl. Gary Fournier of the Delaware State Police.

The truck, driven by a 46-year-old man, was headed southbound across Route 9, onto Belltown Road from the Ace Hardware access road. The two vehicles collided, and the male driver was sent to Beebe Healthcare with nonlife-threatening injuries.

The bus driver was cited for failing to yield the right-of-way on a left turn. Three passengers on the bus were uninjured, Fournier said.
