Mispillion Art League clubs for kids start March 27
Weekly art clubs for kids will start Tuesday, March 27, at Mispillion Art League Education Annex, 4 Park Ave., Milford, behind the MAL Gallery on Walnut Street.
MAL Younger Kids ART Club will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for ages 5-8. Students will be introduced to a variety of media, including painting, printmaking, 3-D projects, collage, drawing and more. Each club meeting includes a fun planned art activity designed to inspire thinking, teach technique and offer creative support. The first week, children will decorate their own art club T-shirt which will be worn each week to protect clothing. T-shirts will be provided and are included with the club fee. Shirts will be sent home after week eight.
The MAL Older Kids ART Club will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. for ages 9-13 for children of all skill levels. Exploration of individual ideas and creativity is encouraged. Instructors will focus on a wide variety of media such as painting, printmaking, 3-D, collage, pastels, pen and ink, photography, and mosaic design. Works of famous artists will be shared. Each club meeting will include a planned activity and/or a free choice project, with creative guidance available each step of the way. The first week will allow time for the children to decorate a club T-shirt that will be worn each week to protect clothing. T-shirts are provided and are included in class fee. Shirts will be sent home after the eight weeks end.
There is no club meeting April 3 during spring break. Cost is $95 for members and $115 for nonmembers. Register by Saturday, March 24, by calling 302-430-7646.
