MOMS Club collects school supplies for Georgetown Kindergarten Center

The MOMS Club of Coastal Delaware collected supplies for their annual school supply drive. They were delivered Aug. 19 to the Georgetown Kindergarten Center. Administrative Vice President Tara Blanton presented the school supplies to Principal Dr. Janet Hickman, Finance Secretary Antionette Gornetski and Secretary Tara Doughty.

In addition to supplies collected, MOMS Club donated almost 700 crayons, 161 glue sticks, over 1,500 sheets of construction paper and 108 pencils.

The Georgetown Kindergarten Center is in the Indian River School District and will be starting its fourth school year Tuesday, Sept. 6. The school currently has 275 students enrolled. This is the second year the MOMS Club has donated school supplies to the kindergarten center.

The MOMS Club is a nonprofit organization which supports at-home mothers and their children. The local chapter has 113 mom members. For more information, email coastalmomsde@gmail.com.
