Inland Bays Foundation hosts Townsend Feb. 14

State Sen. Bryan Townsend will discuss plans for the 2017 Clean Water Task Force with the Inland Bays Foundation at their monthly meeting Tuesday, Feb. 14, at 6 p.m., in the South Coastal Library in Bethany Beach. Townsend will speak on a range of current topics, including plans for the 2017 Clean Water Task Force, started last year.

Townsend addressed the issue of clean water at an IBF meeting in April of last year.

According to Nancy Cabrera- Santos, president of the foundation: "No one at the state level fights harder for clean water than Senator Townsend."

Preliminary data from last year's draft report was of great interest to the audience gathered at the Bethany Town Hall. Townsend was adamant in his conclusion that it is past time for alleviation of the pollution in Delaware's waterways, including the need for a statewide Clean Water Fee.

In March 2017, a new report will be generated from the task force, outlining progress to date. For more information, go to www.inlandbaysfoundation.org.
