Milton Preservation Commission to meet

Milton Historic Preservation Commission will meet at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the Milton library. Commissioners will review a request for privacy fencing and a wood stove chimney at 403 Chestnut St.; a request for privacy fencing at 106 Prettyman St.; a request for a detached garage at 311 Union St.; a signage request for two units at 113 Union St.; and discussion on revisions to the town's zoning code related to a historic preservation overlay district. Milton water committees to meet

Milton Water Committee and the town's water infrastructure land acquisition committee will meet at Milton library Wednesday, Jan. 11. The water committee meeting at 2 p.m. includes a follow-up on the status of the town's mapping system, and Wagamon's West Shores water loop and other business items. Milton development committee to meet

Milton Economic Development Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 12, in the WBOC Conference Room at 1 The Square. The committee will discuss sustainability activities, the development of a proposed economic plan, AARP Network of age-friendly cities and status of an EDC ambassador. Cape Henlopen school board meets Jan. 12

The Cape Henlopen school board will hold a workshop meeting at 6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 12, in the cafeteria of Mariner Middle School. The board will discuss and possibly vote on design plans for a new Sussex Consortium. A Cape Henlopen High School student ambassador will present a report, and the board will receive an update on a middle school math pilot.
