Cape Gazette posts early deadlines
Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the Cape Gazette has posted early deadlines for both retail and classified advertising for the Friday, Nov. 24, and Tuesday, Nov. 28 editions. Advertising deadline for the Nov. 24 edition will be noon, Monday, Nov. 20. Wednesday, Nov. 22, at noon is the deadlines for advertising in the Tuesday, Nov. 28 edition. Cape Gazette offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 23-24.

Rehoboth offices to close for Thanksgiving
The Rehoboth Beach administrative offices will close Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24, in observance of Thanksgiving. There will be no trash pickup on Nov. 23; trash pickup will resume Nov. 24 for residential and commercial customers. Offshore Wind group hosts public workshops
Delaware's Offshore Wind Working Group will host two public workshops – one in New Castle County and one in Sussex County – to gather input about the potential for offshore wind energy. The first workshop will be held at 6 p.m., Monday, Nov. 27, at the Appoquinimink Training Center at 118 South Sixth St. in Odessa. The second workshop will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 5, at the Lewes Public Library at 111 Adams Ave. in Lewes.

The Offshore Wind Working Group was established in August, began meeting in October, and has until Dec. 15 to submit a report to Gov. John Carney with recommendations on short- and long-term strategies for developing wind power to serve Delaware.

Milton council to hold executive session

Milton offices closed Nov. 23-24
Milton town offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24, for Thanksgiving.

Milton holiday tree lighting Nov. 25
Milton officials will light up Milton Memorial Park at 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 25, for the holidays.
Sussex council not meeting Nov. 21 Sussex County Council will not meet Tuesday, Nov. 21, during Thanksgiving week. The next regularly scheduled meeting is at 10 a.m., Nov. 28, in the county administration building, 2 The Circle, Georgetown.

Sussex offices close for Thanksgiving
Sussex County government offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24, for the Thanksgiving holiday. Offices will reopen at 8:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 27.

Rt. 113 lane closures set at Redden Road
Route 113 lane closures are set from Deer Forest Road to Redden Road from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday to Friday, Nov. 20 through late January 2018. DelDOT's contractor, JJID Inc., will be lengthening the existing Route 113 northbound left-turn lane onto Redden Road and creating an acceleration lane from eastbound Redden Road onto Route 113 southbound. This project will also include striping a bike lane along Route 113 southbound. During this project, there will be lane closures on Route 113 northbound and southbound. There will be no work on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. Motorists should be aware that construction personnel and equipment will be operating close to the travel lanes.
