Milton Town Council to meet Dec. 5
Milton Town Council will meet at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 5, at the Milton library. Before the regular meeting, council will hold a public hearing regarding the Delaware Community Development Block Grant Program. Milton P&Z to meet Dec. 6

Arbor-Lyn vote on Dec. 6 Sussex agenda
Sussex County Council will meet at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 6, in the county administration building at 2 The Circle, Georgetown. Included on the agenda is a possible vote on a conditional-use application for the Arbor-Lyn housing project along Warrington Road near Rehoboth Beach. SCRWC to Share the Holiday Spirit Dec. 7
The Sussex County Republican Women's Club will hold its Share the Holiday Spirit luncheon Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 11 a.m., at Kings Creek Country Club, Rehoboth Beach. SCRWC member Jane Thompson has been coordinating with the Salvation Army to distribute gifts and cards to children in the community, including those residing at the Home of the Brave II facility. She has gift stockings, cards to personalize and a list of age-appropriate items one can choose from to participate in this worthy program. There will be a silent auction fundraiser where they ask those who can to bring a $15 minimum value item to be auctioned to the highest bidder.

Identity theft topic in Rehoboth Dec. 5
Are You Vulnerable to Identity Theft? is the toic at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 5, at Rehoboth Beach Public Library. Lt. William Sullivan and Det. Tyler Whitman of the Rehoboth Beach Police Department will give the presentation. About 15 million victims lost money from financial fraud in 2012. Identity theft wreaks havoc with personal finances and credit records. The crime may start with unauthorized use of a Social Security number from a stolen wallet, or may involve sophisticated scams on the internet that trick someone into divulging personal information. SDARJ to meet in Lewes Dec. 13
The Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice will meet Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m., at the Trinity Faith Christian Center, 15516 New Road in Lewes. The topic is What to Do Next: SDARJ's Role in Promoting Racial and Social Justice in Today's New Political Environment. Attendees will be asked for input to refine the mission and goals, and suggest programs and initiatives to help in upcoming strategic planning process.
