Norma L. Stinchecum, retired mail carrier

Norma L. Stinchecum, 73, of Rehoboth Beach, and formerly of Baltimore,Md., died after a courageous battle with cancer Dec. 23, 2017.

Norma was born in Baltimore Oct. 17, 1944, daughter of the late Charles and Anita Anderson. She was educated in Parkville, Md., and graduated from Parkville High School in 1962. She worked as a pizza maker and Woolworth clerk, but spent most of her working career, 26 years, with the USPS as a mail carrier in Perry Hall, Md.

Norma was very active in her church in Baltimore - Camp Chapel and Arnolia United Methodist Churches. When she moved to Lewes in 2011, she found a church home at Epworth United Methodist, and remained a faithful follower of Christ.

Norma's husband, Vincent Lee Stinchecum Jr., preceded her in death Oct. 12, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Charles Anderson and Rick Anderson. She is survived by her two sons, Jim Stinchecum and Vincent Stinchecum; her sisters Jean and Donna; and a host of grandchildren and friends.

Norma donated her body to science, so a memorial service will be held at Epworth UMC Friday, April 13, at 11 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with family greeting visitors.
