Norma Nelson, passionate about family
Norma Nelson, 82, of Millsboro passed away in the care of the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Friday, Dec. 15, 2017. She was born April 21, 1935, to the late Floyd T. and Mary E. Hitchens Wilkins in Milford.
Family and food were Norma’s passion, and she delighted in hosting family dinners, and sharing her baked goods. She loved to get her hair done, and was always dressed nicely.
Norma is survived by two children: Dallas M. Shockley Jr. and Connie L. Davis. She has four grandchildren: Vicky (Baker) Evans and her husband, Les; Scott Shockley and his wife Katie; Shannan (Davis) Lloyd and her husband Josh; and Dana (Davis) Wagner and her husband, Mike; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded by five siblings: John, Josephine, Meldon, Mary, and Dorothy. She was also sadly preceded by her daughter Sandra Baker, and two grandchildren.
A time for viewing and visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 22, at Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro, from 10 until 11 a.m. There will be a graveside service at 11:30 a.m., in Carey's Cemetery in Millsboro.
