Oil painting class at Rehoboth Art League to start July 5

Oil Painting with local artist Bill Patterson will be offered from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m., Wednesdays, July 5 to Aug. 16, at Rehoboth Art League. This class is for beginners as well as intermediate oil painters.
During the first class, using a selected photograph, students will learn the elements of composition. Following this, students will concentrate on how to view and interpret the photograph to make the transition from photo to painting. Values, value zones, use of color, hue and intensity will be discussed.
The cost of the class is $100 for members and $135 for nonmembers.
