A 31-year-old Millsboro man drove himself to the hospital after he was injured during a shooting at a Milford apartment complex.

The shooting occurred about 2 a.m. June 18 when police were called to Milford Memorial Hospital for a report of a man shot in the lower extremity, said Sgt. Richard Bratz of Delaware State Police.

Police learned the man was in the unit block of Linstone Lane in the Silver Lake Estastes apartment complex where two other people were arguing nearby. As the victim went to see what the argument was about, an unknown person fired several shots in the area, striking the victim.

The Millsboro man then drove himself to the hospital where he was treated for nonlife-threatening injuries from the shooting. No one else was injured during the incident, Bratz said.

No suspect description is available at this time, he said.
