Osher art reception set March 18 at Dover library

March 14, 2018

The public is invited to attend an exhibit by artists from the University of Delaware’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes throughout Delaware. Sponsored by the Lewes and Dover OLLI programs, the exhibit will run through Saturday, April 14, at Dover Public Library.

“We’re excited about hosting an event that celebrates artists from all over the state and showcases the vibrant art programs at each of UD’s OLLI locations,” said Anna Moshier, program manager of UD’s Dover, Lewes and Ocean View lifelong learning programs.

A reception will held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Sunday, March 18. The community is invited to participate in tours of the exhibit and the library, and meet the artists and discuss their works.

The upcoming exhibit represents only the second event to feature artists from all of UD’s OLLI programs, which are located in Dover, Lewes, Ocean View and Wilmington. Each program has a wide offering of art-related courses taught by artists who are program members. Delaware’s OLLI programs are academic cooperatives for those age 50 and over. The program boasts more than 3,700 members who come from a variety of educational backgrounds and live in Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and Maryland.
