Parcel Plus donates raffle proceeds to MERR Institute

May 20, 2018

Parcel Plus, a dealer for Melissa & Doug children's toys, purchases large stuffed animals to be raffled to raise funds for local charities. Parcel Plus customers purchase raffle tickets for $1 each, and a winning ticket was drawn May 2. Arlene Rudolph was the lucky winner of a 4-foot-tall T-Rex.

Parcel Plus has raffled several animals over the last year – a unicorn to benefit Special Olympics, a lion to benefit Clothing Our Kids, and an emperor penguin to benefit Georgetown SPCA.

Parcel Plus matches the raffle donations, and a check was presented to Suzanne Thurman, executive director of the Marine Education, Research & Rehabilitation Institute. The T-Rex will have a loving home with Arlene's grandchild.

Shown at the check presentation are (l-r) Suzanne Thurman, winner Arlene Rudolph, and Parcel Plus owners Sarah and Roger Anderson.
