Pathways to Success fundraiser set at Bethany Blues Nov. 29

November 18, 2016

Bethany Blues Lewes will donate 15 percent of their sales from 4 to 9 p.m. on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 29, to support Pathways to Success. There will be a table near the restaurant entrance where customers can pick up a coupon that will be used to track donations. Proceeds will help with campus visits expenses, such as bus transportation and meals.

Many of the PTS students who attend Cape Henlopen High School, Seaford High School and Sussex Technical High School have never visited a university campus. Many have not ventured outside Sussex County. Fay Blake, Pathways to Success executive director, says, "I'm proud to say that 82 percent of our PTS alumni since 2008 have graduated from college or advanced certified programs.

Campus visits are what fueled their desire to advance their education. Most of them are first-generation higher learning graduates. They have become role models for their siblings who can now envision their life possibilities."
