Paul Bauer will represent Dewey well

September 15, 2017

I am so excited to see Paul run for Dewey Beach commissioner, as I believe he is uniquely qualified to join the Town Council.

I have been friends with Paul and Tina for over eight years since buying a house in Dewey Beach. In my experience, it is nearly impossible to walk into a place without someone knowing Paul and greeting him with a smile. He is fully engaged in our community, with strong relationships across property owners, businesses, town government and civic organizations.

These friendships, which span the diversity of age ranges and interest groups in our town, give him unparalleled understanding of the competing tensions and town management challenges.

His positivity, non-judgemental approach to life, and disarming style will be invaluable in seeking common ground and forging compromise on divisive issues so that our town can continue to move in a positivite direction, balancing our desire for growth with our desire to preserve our small-town community feel. He has incredible energy, able to balance a high-power, full-time career with community work and family time.

His constant volunteer work in Dewey - whether it be moderating a candidate's debate, refereeing the restaurant olympics, or wearing a ridiculous Easter Bunny costume - demonstrates his commitment and love for the town.

I cannot think of anyone better to represent my interests on the town council, and hope you will join me in voting for him!
