Penny Lee Garnett, Town of Dewey employee

September 27, 2016

Penny Lee (Glessner) Garnett, 64, of Millsboro and formerly of Federalsburg, Md., passed away Friday, Sept. 23, 2016.

Penny was born Aug. 27, 1952, in Easton, Md., to the late Ray and Jane Louise Atkinson Glessner. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey Garnett; and a brother, William Jopp.

She is also survived by many extended family and dear friends including her Dewey Beach comrades who were more like family than co-workers.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call one hour prior for the viewing and visitation. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
