Phyllis A. Cody, devoted to her family

Phyllis A. Cody, 79, of Dagsboro passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 7, 2018, while holding her husband's hand.

Mrs. Cody was devoted to her family. She was a supportive wife, a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Phyllis enjoyed traveling, cooking and having large family gatherings.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise (Care) Cerino; two children, Matthew Brough and Marie Cody McDonnell; and a granddaughter, Katie Harris. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Al Cody; six children, Diane Nash, Laura Harris, Sharon Courtney, Melissa Farrell, Stephanie Brough and Alfred Cody; 10 grandchildren, Cody Harris, Scott McDonnell, Sarah McDonnell, Rachel Moore, Allison Farrell, Lindsey Farrell, Nicole Deshaies, Megan Deshaies, Kathrine Cody and Christopher Cody; and a great-granddaughter, Evevangeline Moore.

A private memorial service will be held.
