Police investigate West Rehoboth shooting

Delaware State Police are investigating after a man was shot Oct. 23 in West Rehoboth.

Sussex County Emergency Operations Center was called at 7:45 p.m. to report a man had been shot in the 37000 block of Johnston Street, said Master Cpl. Gary Fournier of the Delaware State Police. Police found an adult male with a gunshot wound to the lower body. He was transported to an area hospital where he is being treated for an apparent nonlife-threatening wound, Fournier said.

At this time, he said, there are no suspects.

Detectives are continuing to conduct interviews and collect evidence at the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident. Additional information and investigative details will be disseminated as soon as available.
