Political strategist and author to appear in Rehoboth Sept. 3

August 31, 2016

Veteran political strategist Joe Rothstein will be at Browseabout Books from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, to sign copies of his new political thriller "The Latina President...and The Conspiracy to Destroy Her." The novel places Mexican-American heiress Isabel Aragon Tennyson in the White House determined to fight an increasingly corrupt financial system, and then she becomes the target of an international conspiracy to destroy her.

For more than 30 years, through over 200 campaigns, Rothstein was at the center of U.S. politics. He was a strategist and media producer for United States senators Tom Daschle of South Dakota, Patrick Leahy of Vermont, Don Riegle of Michigan, Bob Kerrey of Nebraska, Tom Harkin of Iowa and many others, in the campaigns that brought each of them to the U.S. Senate. At its peak, Rothstein and Co. could count 10 percent of the Democrats in the U.S. House as his clients. He is currently chairman and editor of the international news aggregator and distribution service www.EINNEWS.com.

Rothstein and his wife Sylvia Bergstrom are longtime residents of Dewey Beach, and parts of his novel are set in Rehoboth and Lewes.
