Possum Point Players announce “Hello, Dolly!” cast

Possum Point Players and Stage Director Jim Hartzell of Georgetown have announced show staff and cast for the spring musical "Hello, Dolly!" Working with Hartzell are Assistant Director Tara Megee of Georgetown, Music Director Rick Trice of Seaford and Choreographer Amanda Howard of Laurel.

Led by Donna de Kuyper of Lewes in the title role of Dolly Levi, John Zinzi of Milton as Horace Vandergelder, Debbie Mengert of Georgetown as Mrs. Molloy and Mike Mahaffie of Lewes as Cornelius Hackl, the show runs Friday to Sunday, April 13 to 15 and April 20 to 22, at Possum Hall, 441 Old Laurel Highway in Georgetown. Curtain is at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m., Sunday. Tickets are $25 for adults, and $24 for seniors and students. Hartzell said the cast has already started working. “We have had several rehearsals, and the talent of our 28 cast members, who come from 13 towns from Viola to Salisbury and Seaford to Rehoboth Beach, is pretty amazing,” he said. “I think our audience will be thoroughly pleased with our presentation of such memorable songs as ‘It Takes A Woman,’ ‘Before the Parade Passes By,’ ‘Put on Your Sunday Clothes,’ ‘Elegance’ and, of course ‘Hello, Dolly!’”

The cast also includes Ed Guinan, Dagsboro; Marsha Shull, Frankford; Claudius Bowden, Fred Dean, Liz Holz, Logan Lynch, Braeden Swain and Ashlie Workman, Georgetown; Greg Allis, Harrington; and Randall Lantz, Houston.

Rounding out the cast are Julia Howard and Yvette Siegel, Laurel; Malcolm Keen and Dick Pack, Lewes; Amy Vandercapellen, Long Neck; Dan Foskey and Connor Hall, Milford; Claire Fiedler, Fred Grant and Carolyn Robinson, Millsboro; Max Dick, Rehoboth Beach; Lillian Blake and Whitney Cook, Salisbury; and Greg Breitkreitz, Viola.
