Preston Ford donates to Go Red for Women

The Preston Auto Group recently presented a check to the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Campaign. The funds support education, awareness, and collaborative support of women.

According to the American Heart Association, Go Red For Women encourages awareness of the issue of women and heart disease, and also action to save more lives. The movement harnesses the energy, passion and power women have to band together and collectively wipe out heart disease. It challenges them to know their chance of heart disease and take action to reduce their personal risk. It also gives them the tools they need to lead a heart-healthy life.

The 11th Annual Sussex Go Red for Women Luncheon & Fashion Show will be held Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Baywood Greens in Long Neck. The guest speaker will be Beebe Healthcare Emergency Medicine Department Chair Dr. Paul Cowan.
