Prime Hook accepting nature photography contest entries through Oct. 15

The Friends of Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge Inc. is accepting entries for the 14th Annual Nature Photography Contest. This is a showcase for some of the best and most talented nature photographers on Delmarva. The contest is open to all photographers, including separate categories for students, and attracts hundreds of entries every fall. There are several categories with many chances for photographers of all ages and abilities to win awards. This year will again feature a special award for winners in The Beauty of Prime Hook category.

Entries in the annual nature photography contest highlight the unique and beautiful landscapes and wildlife of Delmarva, ranging from soaring ospreys to majestic herons and sun-dappled wildflowers. To be entered in the contest, photographs must be mailed or hand-delivered to the Refuge Office by Sunday, Oct. 15. The address is 11978 Turkle Pond Road, Milton, DE 19968. Drop-off hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.

The entry fee is $5 per photograph or six entries for $25 and must be included with the submitted photographs. Student entries are free.
