Random act of kindness appreciated

February 1, 2018

I wanted to share a special story, otherwise known as a random act of kindness. I was having lunch alone at the Lewes Diner on Savannah Road Jan. 21 at about 1 p.m.

Midway through my meal, the waitress informed me that a couple who had been seated behind me paid my bill and tip.

They left before me so I could not thank them personally - but would like to now.

Their pay it forward act was one I will never forget. I recently lost my mother and best friend - so this act of kindness meant much more to me than a free meal.
