Randy E. Barth, retired pipefitter

Randy E. Barth, 65, of Lewes, passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at home. He was born Monday, Sept. 10, 1951, in Reading, Pa., son of T. Lorraine (Weinhold) and the late Warren Barth.

Mr. Barth worked for many years as a pipefitter, retiring from Lucent Technologies after 32 years of service. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, both in active duty in the 913th Airlift Wing, and as a reservist in the 327th Airlift Squadron, in Willow Grove, Pa.

Mr. Barth was a certified locksmith, and a hunting and gun enthusiast. He was a member of the NRA and of American Legion Post 4, in Seaford. He loved the mountains and enjoyed all of the outdoors, but more than anything, he cherished time spent with his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Barth is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Jennifer (Souders) Barth of Lewes; his mother, T. Lorraine Barth of Wernersville, Pa.; his son, Rick L. Barth of Lewes; his daughter, April L. Saienni and her husband Joe of Zebulon, N.C.; his grandchildren, Tyler and Madison Saienni, both of Zebulon; and his brother, Steven Barth and his wife Jennifer of Reading, Pa.

All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Mr. Barth's memory to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
