Raymond H. Gagne, retired businessman

Raymond H. Gagne, 85, of Landenberg, Pa., formerly of Rehoboth Beach, died Wednesday July 26, 2017. He was the husband of the late Charlotte Louise Gagne who died in 2015 and with whom he shared 60 years of marriage.

Born in Newport, R.I., he was a son of the late Cyrille Joseph and the late Yvonne Anita (Marien) Gagne. Raymond served our country in the Korean War in the Navy. He was a graduate of the University of Delaware.

For most of his career, he owned and operated Stone's Hotel and Milford Liquors, retiring in 1995. He loved coin collecting, solving puzzles, and spending time with family.

Survivors include one son, David C. Gagne and his wife Sherry of Landenberg; three brothers, John Gagne, Donald Gagne and Tommy Gagne; one sister, Elaine Cutler; and three grandsons, Ryan, Sawyer and Emory. He was predeceased by his daughter Mary (Meg) Elisabeth Gagne; and eight brothers and sisters.

Private graveside services will be held at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Contributions in his memory may be made to the Salvation Army, Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware Division, Development Department 701 North Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19123. Arrangements are by Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home Inc. of Kennett Square.
