Read Aloud thanks Grotto, Coldwell Banker

February 8, 2018

Grotto Pizza is not only legendary for pizza but has become known for its philanthropic support of our community. Each December the Parade of Trees at several Grotto locations throughout the state showcases nonprofit organizations featuring decorated holiday trees.

In the spirit of fundraising, Read Aloud Delaware participates by creating and decorating a child's storybook-themed tree. Located at Grand Slam, Grotto's staff, headed by "Miss A," prepares the circular room with overhead holiday lighting and trees that encircle the seating area.

While decorating the trees, the staff provides light fare to create a fun and festive evening. The funds that will be contributed by customers during December will help support their chosen charity.

All of the funds generated ultimately come back to families in our area as each organization continues to assist those in need. Our Read Aloud Delaware Sussex County Committee is appreciative of this opportunity. We thank Grotto's for all that they provide and Coldwell Banker realtor Skip Faust, our sponsor, who makes our participation possible.

Each year we look forward to creating our tree, and hope that it will inspire families to read daily to their children. Read Aloud benefits and so do our children - our future.
