Rehoboth Bandstand needs more seating

October 31, 2017

Another show, another standing room only crowd. I have attended and enjoyed just about all the weekend Rehoboth Bandstand performances this year. Cory Groll, the program director, has lined up outstanding performers again this year - 40 shows in total - all sellouts - all the seats for the 8 p.m. performances are taken 15 minutes to one hour plus before the first note is struck. Many people just stand in the street for the hour-plus shows. Not good for the many 80-year-old-plus groupies. Is there any way to squeeze in more seats between the Bandstand and restrooms? Can the back lawn be moved? I am sure any new seating will get filled anyway - easily the best show in town and it’s all free!
