Rehoboth drawbridge inspection to disrupt traffic
Delays expected Oct. 19-20, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The canal bridge in Rehoboth will open periodically, disrupting traffic, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19.

On Wednesday, Oct. 19, and Thursday, Oct. 20, a contractor will inspect the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal drawbridge on Rehoboth Avenue in Rehoboth Beach.
Department of Transportation officials say on Oct. 19, the bridge will be opened for periods of 10 minutes or less from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bridge openings for inspection will delay crossing the bridge.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 20, single-lane closures of Rehoboth Avenue leading to the drawbridge will occur. Flaggers will be in place to direct traffic.
