The winning question was “Late August, President Barack Obama announced the expansion of a marine national monument, creating the world’s largest marine protected area. The Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument is located off the coast of which U.S. state?”
Rehoboth Elementary held its annual National Geographic Society Geography Bee Jan. 13.
The students qualified for the eight spaces in the final competition in their homeroom classes.
The winner will be qualified for the state competition and possibly the national competition where the winner receives a $50,000 scholarship.
