Rehoboth Run for the Books features bridal shower run in the rain

May 23, 2018

A bridal shower run in the rain. The T-shirts read “Alana and Tracey’s Marry-thon 5K.” A total of 78 athletes were part of the guest list.

The race May 19 was the Rehoboth Run for the Books to benefit the Rehoboth Beach library.

Brent Hall had the easiest morning. The fastest runner got back to the cover of the Bellmoor parking garage in 18:04. He was followed by Neil Farbman in 20:50, Damian Valentine in 21:22, Charlie Coffield in 21:54 and Brian Hall in 22:36.

Jill Regets was the overall women’s winner in 22:17. She was followed by Maddie Brown in 24:26, Stephanie Rogman in 24:54, Eugenija King in 25:43 and Sheila Young in 27:08.

Not every rolling runner over wet stone was invited to the reception because, “You can’t always get what you want.” The Rehoboth library was open all day.
