Richard Hagans, loved construction

Richard Hagans was born July 18, 1956, to the late Albert Hagans Sr. and Margie M. Hagans. He peacefully entered into eternal rest Sunday, Sept. 17, 2016, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.

Richard obtained his education at Indian River High School in Frankford. Richard had worked several professions throughout the course of his life, one of them being a chicken catcher, and later he developed a love for construction work. However, at the time of his death, due to his illness, Richard was unable to work.

He is preceded in death by his father, Albert Hagans Sr.; and two nephews, Sylvester A. Briddell Jr., and Elijah L. Foreman Jr.; and one niece Moniah Briddell.

He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his mother, Margie Hagans; two daughters, Renetian White (Phillip) and Trina Holden; two stepdaughters, Latoya Harris and Markisha Williams; five brothers, Albert Jr. (Margaret), Moses, Robbie (Vanessa), Donnie, Jackie (Lisa); and two sisters, Marjorie (Leonard) and Ruby (Sylvester); eight grandchildren, Latazsha, Tarez, Anijah, X-Zayveighn, Britt, Jakhi, Shemar and Nijee; three great-grandchildren, Zion, Naziah and Tristian; a special friend, Tammy Mumford; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 24, at St. John 2nd Baptist Church, Mt. Joy Road, Millsboro Public viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Interment will immediately follow at Zoar Golden Acres, Bishopville, Md.
