Robyn Leslie Kepner, Milton pharmacist

January 12, 2018

Robyn Leslie Kepner, 65, of Milton, passed away Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, at Bayhealth Milford Medical of complications following 21 months of treatment for advanced cancer. He was born in Muncy, Pa., Dec. 10, 1952, to Clyde Alvin Kepner and the late Marion Lucille (Bigger) Kepner.

Robyn graduated from Muncy High School and Philadelphia College of Pharmacy & Science, now known as the University of Sciences in Philadelphia, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in pharmacy. He also attended Temple University in Philadelphia where he was working towards his MBA.

Spanning a professional career of 45 years, Robyn worked in an assortment of practice locations, which included retail pharmacy operations, independent pharmacies and, most recently, the Bayhealth Medical Center pharmacies in both Dover and Milford.

Robyn was a life-long motorcycle enthusiast, and always had a bike or two in various states of repair. He gave up riding his bike six years ago stating, 'There are too many motorists out there who make riding dangerous.' He was a lifetime member of the HOGs (Harley Owners Group), the Antique Motorcycle Club of America, the Yahoo Sportster Owners and attended club meetings all over the United States, where he appreciated talking about his bikes with like-minded friends.

Woodworking had also been a lifelong hobby. He attended classes at the Philadelphia Furniture Workshop and the Rosewood Woodworking School in Perth, Ontario, Canada. The skills he learned and perfected easily translated to his volunteering at Sussex County Habitat for Humanity, when his work schedule permitted. Robyn belonged to the Mason-Dixon Woodworkers Group, and enjoyed the club meetings and lessons sponsored, again, when his work schedule permitted.

He was preceded by his mother, Marion Lucille (Bigger) Kepner.

In addition to his father, Clyde Alvin Kepner of Muncy, Pa., Robyn is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ursula Charlotte Beaver; daughter, Ursula Sabina Beaver-Kepner (Eric Carlheinz Standifer), and granddaughter, Ursula Lucille Miles Beaver-Kepner, all of Milton; daughter, Ingrid Käthe Beaver-Kepner of Ramsey, N.J.; brother, Marc Duane Kepner of Gainesville, Fla., and Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada; sister, Paige Elaine Kepner (Chris Glidewell) of Muncy; nephew, Jared Glidewell (Emily Ruhl Glidewell) of Muncy; and two grand-nephews, Max and Ian Christopher Glidewell. He will be missed by all who knew him, especially his family and his Bassett Hound, Maggie.

A Service of Remembrance/Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to Sussex County Habitat for Humanity, P.O. Box 759, Georgetown, DE 19947, or Bayhealth Foundation, Attn: Cancer Center, 640 S. State St., Dover, DE 19901
