Ronald L. Mulhern, retired funeral director

Ronald L. Mulhern, 66, of Lewes, formerly of Wilmington, passed away Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017.
He was a graduate of Conrad High School in 1969 and the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in New York City in 1972. Ron had been a licensed funeral director with McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes for over 42 years, and retired in 2013 as the manager of the Kirkwood Highway location.
He was born and raised in Wilmington to the late Francis P. "Bud" and Alma S. "Gim" Mulhern. He is survived by his brother, Richard L. and his wife Joyce of Georgetown; nephew and nieces, Richard A. Mulhern, Shannon M. Truono and Wendi M. Mulhern; great-nieces Alisha L. Mulhern and Aughtum K. Slavin, and great-nephew Reid Ruggiero, all of Wilmington; stepnephew, Keith Wilson and his wife Danielle of Riva, Md., and stepniece Jessica Wilson of Georgetown.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 16, at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, where a viewing will also be held Friday, Nov. 17, from 10 to 11 a.m., with a funeral to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
