Ronald L. Ward, George & Lynch retiree
Ronald L. Ward of Georgetown passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2016, at Bayhealth/Milford Memorial Hospital.
Ronald was born in Millsboro, son of the late Grover and Maude (Dize) Ward.
He was retired from George & Lynch, where he worked in contracting, bridge construction and as a foreman. Ronald was a US Marine Corps veteran. He was a hard worker, loving husband and parent, and he loved being outdoors. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones ,and fondly remembered for never saying goodbye, but always "toodles."
In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by his daughter, Shelly R. Brock; and a brother, Robert Ward.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara (Calloway) Ward; a son, Jeff Ward and his wife Wendy of Georgetown; three grandchildren, Whitney Brittingham, Samantha Ward and Katlyn Ward; and one great-granddaughter: Addison Waller.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 25, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, with visitation after 1:30 p.m.
