Run to the Plunge raises 40K for Delaware Special Olympics

The Run to the Plunge 5K held in Rehoboth Feb. 4 attracted 521 runners and walkers. Weather conditions were cold, but the winds were calm.

Logan Brady, 24, was the overall winner in 17:13. Running a close second was Marina Orrson, 25, in 17:26. Other top finishers were John Martino in 17:40, Bill Farquhar in 17:45, Greg Cauller in 17:58, Bryan Mack in 18:07, Cooper Knox in 18:09, David Marshall in 18:41 and Keith Crispin in 18:44.

The top three males in the law enforcement category were Keats Gardner in 18:15, Erik Farinas in 20:39 and Aidan Gause in 20:35.

The top three females in the law enforcement category were Amy Haywood in 26:31, Joanne Bohrman in 26:22 and Lauren Weaver in 27:49.

There were 217 males who finished the 5K, with an average pace of 9:46. The 282 female finishers averaged an 11:30 pace.
