Sassy Chic grand opening set March 18-19 in Lewes
Lynn Misener, a Lewes native, has decided it's time to stop, as the Doobie Brothers would say, "Taking it to the Streets!"
As owner and operator of a successful online Etsy business, and a very successful craft show business: 1st State Sassy Glass and 1st State Sassy Design, she decided it's time to give up packing and unpacking the trailer and go the brick and mortar route.
The name of the new venture is Sassy Chic, Unique Gifts Old and New. Taking over an old farmhouse (Beaman's Antiques) it features items from local artisans as well as unique collectibles.
Inside the porch door and throughout the house there are handcrafted items, fine art photography, children's toys that can be personalized, custom jewelry, antiques and collectibles. Vendor Bill McGinness offers handmade rustic wooden items, Fred Norton creates handcrafted and nautical wood items, Mary Walker presents crocheted pieces, Deny Howeth photography and jewelry is on display, and Keith Misener offers local and national scenes in his photography. Mike Simpler crafts Brew Holders; Lori Beth's Cape May Rainbow Mosaics are offered; Beverly Holmes and Shelby Hogan market collectibles, hand crafted pottery and various children's items.
Misener, will have on hand her hand painted glassware, decorated window sashes and personalized children's items. Amy Conroy is back with Beachscapes by Amy, Anna Clothier will offer crocheted baby blankets. Rose and Elaine's handcrafted, beaded jewelry is also available.
Along with her helpers: husband Keith, mother Suzanne, mother-in-law Anna and stepfather Ralph, all of her hard work has really paid off, proven by a very good turnout at the soft opening held March 11-12.
A grand opening will be held Saturday and Sunday, March 18-19, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Regular hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday; closed Mondays. There are a variety of crafts, decorations and gifts for every taste. Stop in, say hi, shop a little, shop local!
