Schell Brothers and Eagle 97.7 team up for Toys for Tots Rehoboth Beach

For the fourth year in a row, Schell Brothers and Eagle 97.7 are excited to launch the Stuff the Bus Christmas event, benefitting Toys for Tots in Sussex County. On-air personalities for Eagle 97.7 will be positioned outside of the Schell Brothers main office on Route 1 through Friday, Dec. 9, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

"I don't think it's a well-kept secret that at Schell Brothers, we love Christmas. As a kid, gifts are part of the excitement and magic of Christmas, so we are happy to help bring this magic to children in Sussex County," said Chris Schell, CEO of Schell Brothers. "We, along with Eagle 97.7, are just the facilitators of this great tradition, as most of the gifts are provided by others in the community."

In 2015, the Stuff the Bus event filled 48 Toys for Tots boxes with 16,000 toys and 238 bicycles collected. Overall, this promotion helped over 7,000 kids get a toy for Christmas. "Each year we're amazed at how the community comes out in full force to support this cause," said Petch & Amy of Eagle 97.7's morning show. "We look forward to hearing our listeners’ stories and helping them spread the joy of Christmas."

Members of the community can drop their donation off at the bus in front of the Schell Brothers office throughout the event. New and unwrapped toys, bikes, gift cards and cash will all be accepted. A representative from Toys for Tots will collect all donations the evening of Dec. 9. Homeowners across Schell Brothers communities have already started their donations with 15 bikes collected so far. "I'd like the thank everyone who has given in the past and everyone who plans to give a gift this year," says Schell. "Stuff the Bus has become a great tradition that makes Christmas a little brighter for many families in our area."
