Schlosser the real deal: Vote for her Aug. 12

August 8, 2017

The election Aug. 12 will set the course for the future of our Rehoboth Beach community. We are fortunate to have someone of the caliber of Lisa Schlosser running for commissioner. She has owned property in Rehoboth Beach for over 15 years, and now lives in town, full time - she is the only candidate who is a full-time resident, who will be here every day to understand, real time, our issues and concerns, and will be readily available to address these issues.

There have been many comments about a candidate having to pay their dues and attend a year of meetings before being elected. As medical professionals, executives, artists, and financial experts, we know, firsthand, that our practices and organizations depend on having the most qualified individuals on our team, not just individuals who have served their time and attended meetings.

Even if paying one's dues is a critical factor, the fact is that Lisa has been busy paying her dues to society as a public servant, as a military service officer, by sitting on boards, teaching, and through her volunteer work. Lisa is now ready to be available to our community, in the same way she was to each and every one of her previous commitments.

The bottom line is this: Is there truly anyone with more solid qualifications to serve our city than Lisa Schlosser? We think not. Lisa is a retired Army lieuntenant colonel, a 30-year dedicated public servant; and a private- sector executive who oversaw an $86 billion portfolio and associated projects; and teaches at Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. Equally as important, she has a reputation for taking action and accomplishing results, while listening to the voices of all stakeholders. This experience clearly distinguishes her as the most qualified and dedicated candidate.

Please join us in making the right choice for the future of our town. Vote for Lisa Schlosser Aug. 12. Let's get the best qualified and only candidate who is a full-time resident on the commission to represent our voices.
