Scholarships provided for Del Tech students in Logistics, Supply Chain and Operations Management

Trinity Logistics and Burris Logistics are providing scholarships for students who enroll in the new Logistics, Supply Chain,and Operations Management degree program at Delaware Technical Community College's Owens Campus. The program is designed to build knowledge in the areas of procurement, transportation, processing and storage of materials and information.

Students learn the business principles and technical foundation necessary to make informed logistical and operational decisions in a global economy. Upon graduation, students are prepared to aid in the design, improvement, installation and operation of integrated systems of people, materials, and equipment.

Six $1,000 scholarships will be awarded for the 2016-17 academic year. "Delaware Tech is grateful for the support of Burris Logistics and Trinity Logistics, who have played an important role in the creation of this program," said Jason Bentley, director of development at the Owens Campus. "Burris and Trinity are great examples of the businesses providing access to local students with scholarships."
