Second interfaith forum scheduled for April 30

Islam, Christianity and Judaism to be discussed

Epworth United Methodist Church and Seaside Jewish Community will present What is Islam: Foundations of Muslim Belief and Practice and Confronting Islamaphobia, at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 30 at Epworth. This event continues the series begun in November 2016 with a presentation to more than 200 attendees by Dover Muslim neighbors Sobia Choudhri and Usman Sandhu.

The April 30 presenters are Dr. Homayra Ziad, Scholar of Islam at Baltimore's Institute for Islamic, Christian and Jewish Studies, and Dr. Heather Miller Rubens, executive director of ICJS and its Roman Catholic Scholar. After each presentation there will be time for questions and answers. The program will begin with a fellowship opportunity at 2 followed by the presentations starting at 2:30 and concluding by 5 p.m.
