Toni Sharp was one of the first people I met in Rehoboth, at the farmers market, where she regularly volunteers. I was immediately impressed with this enthusiastic ambassador for the city.
Since then, I have observed her in action serving the citizens of Rehoboth, not only at multiple commissioner workshops and meetings, but also at numerous other city committee meetings where she contributes her expertise and energy to a broad spectrum of issues.
Over the past three years, she has brought considerable skill and focus to the city's long-range financial plan, was instrumental in the hiring of a communications specialist, and is leading the charge on public opinion research to help direct city policies and regulations.
Toni is also the champion of green space in the city. She understands that it is a key component of the high property values we enjoy here as well as our desirability as a vacation destination, and it's the attribute that sets us apart from most other beach communities. She has worked hard to preserve the unique character of the city.
Her record of accomplishment speaks for itself. Come to the candidate forum Friday, July 22, and you'll see how valuable Toni is to the city commission. We need her experience and dedication, and we should re-elect her to serve another term. Please vote for Toni Aug. 13, or call City Hall, 302-227-6181 to get an absentee ballot.
