Shirley E. Wootton, devoted homemaker

Shirley E. Wootton, 90,, of Lewes, formerly of Catonsville, Md., passed away peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, at her home in Lewes. She was born Wednesday, Sept. 7, 1927, in Baltimore City, Md., daughter of the late George and Doris (Ogal) Leppo.

Mrs. Wootton lived a life devoted to raising her family and keeping her beautiful home. She cherished the time spent with her family, and the many memories they created together.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wootton was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, William; and her daughter, Lynn Wootton. She will be dearly missed by her two children: Chester Wootton and Sharon Pierce; her 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and a third on the way.

No funeral services will be held at the request of Mrs. Wootton. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
