Shirley Ruth Fantl, Eddie’s retiree
Our beloved mother, Shirley Ruth Fantl of Lewes, passed away peacefully Friday, June 9, 2018, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.
Shirley lived a full life, treating all she knew like family. She was involved in a variety of community activities after retiring as the manager of Eddie's of 5th Avenue on Rehoboth Avenue for over 20 years.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; and her daughter Robin. She is survived by her children: Brian (Jeannette) of Albuquerque, N.M., Stephanie (Kostas) of Street, Md., and Richard of Snoqulamie, Wash.; her granddaughters: Stephanie Valdez and Hannah Strand-Fantl; and her great-grandchildren: Trey and Gabrielle Valdez.
A service was held Wednesday, June 13, at Seaside Jewish Community Center, Rehoboth Beach. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Lewes.
Shirley's family wishes to thank all her friends and neighbors for their kindness over many years.
