Skate Day and Shreds for Threads sale set at Epworth Oct. 23

Last skate day of the season
October 20, 2016

The last skate day of the season is set for 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 23, at Epworth Skate Park. The fun-filled day will include skate contests with winners earning some fantastic prizes ranging from skateboard decks and accessories to T-shirts and apparel.  There will be a cookout and a bake sale, plus four live bands will play throughout the day.  Attendees will be stoked to hear Blackfoot Revival Band, Nah Man, Shutter and the Lamplighters. Since Halloween is right around the corner, costumes are encouraged.

There will also be a Shreds For Threads sale. The sale offers new and used skate, skim, surf and ski apparel and equipment sold at bargain prices. All proceeds are donated to the skate park. To donate items, email Sam Ratner at samuel@gotogallo.com.

Skate Day is free and open to the public, as is the park on a daily basis. Skate Day skaters who are under 18 must be registered by a parent or guardian prior to participating. Pads and helmets are optional. The Epworth Skate Park is on the grounds of Epworth United Methodist Church at 19285 Holland Glade Road in Rehoboth Beach.
