Small standard flower show set at Plantation Lakes May 19

Plantation Lakes Garden Club will host Celebrate Spring, a Small Standard Flower Show from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, May 19,  at the  Plantation Lakes Community Center in Millsboro.

The show will feature floral designs and horticulture exhibits celebrating special occasions that occur across America annually between March and June. Floral design themes include Mother’s Day Brunch, Cinco de Mayo and June Wedding.

The horticulture division, titled Gifts from the Garden, will feature exhibits ranging from trees to terrariums.

All entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges certified by National Garden Clubs Inc. and Delaware Federation of Garden Clubs.

Club President Margaret Woda said, “This will be our first flower show since the club was established in 2016, and our members are very excited to show off some of the skills we’ve learned in this short time. And who doesn’t love a celebration? This event should be fun for everyone!” 

The address is 29787 Plantation Lakes Blvd., Millsboro. The public is invited, admission is free and there is plenty of free parking.
