Sommelier guitarist Paul Cullen to play at Milton Theatre Sept. 2

August 23, 2017

Wine and music have always complemented each other well, and they certainly will at Chef Paul Cullen's show at 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 2, at the Milton Theatre. Reserved VIP tickets come with a serving of antipasto and a glass of wine.

A professional musician for over 35 years, most notably as the bassist for Bad Company in the early '90s, Cullen has a new focus on his passion for nylon string jazzy guitar. Since 2007, he has released five solo CDs, including his latest, "Live In Tuscany," with the Latin feel that pairs perfectly with any wine in a listener's glass. Since his first release, "Dreamdance," Cullen has played thousands of performances, including events with esteemed vineyards from California to Italy. Recently he opened for rock legends Heart and Foreigner.

While honing his craft on guitar and his palate for wine as a Wine & Spirit Education Trust certified sommelier, Cullen has revived classic recipes from his Italian Grandma Tagliaferro that she and his mom Nancy taught him at an early age. Those experiences and his recent trips to Italy to cook with Italian chefs, walk the vineyards with winemakers and play with local Italian musicians enhance the genuineness of his Italian in-home dining experience.

Tagged as a renaissance man, Cullen has perfected the triad of food, wine and music.

Tickets are $20-$30. For more information or to purchase tickets, go to www.MiltonTheatre.com or call 302-684-3038.
